Asking for help is so difficult

I have been on my own for a long time. I served my country but it's been so difficult to get the help I need medically and for mental health. I spend everything I have trying to maintain these things. When I contact Veterans Affairs they just offer thoughts and prayers. It's so sad that even if you serve this country..they do not care.
