How to use the community

Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. The GoFundMe Community is a space where people can come together to share tips, questions, ideas, experiences, and advice.  Here’s some tips on getting the most out of the Community:   Create a connection with other organizers:  The members in this community are people raising money just like you. Root someone on by liking their post, or comment on a challenge someone is facing to show your support.  Swap tips and fundraising wins: What types of things worked for your fundraiser? Whatever it is, share what you tried with the group by creating a discussion. Even if it's a small win, you never know what piece of advice could help another member with their effort.  Answer questions and provide feedback: Check out new posts in the discussions feed to lend a hand.  Fill out your profile: Help community members get to know you by uploading an image and adding the link to your fundraiser to your profile.  Please note: posts asking for donations or shares

My experience with requesting help

I have noticed that this is not a easy task by any means.  I feel that no matter how much you reach out to people the world truly doesn't care, depending on who you are so it seems

Discussion: Meet the two women crafting a violin that will make history

Thanks so much to everyone who attended the live discussion today with history-making GoFundMe fundraisers, Anne Harris and Amanda Ewing. If you weren’t able to make the live event, or want to relive the conversation, you can watch it here:  Anne and Amanda talked about how their community rallied together to help them write a newer, more inclusive chapter in violin history.
