Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. Here’s a few tips for getting started on our community forums. Questions about how the community platform works? Let us know in the comments below!

What this community is for:

The GoFundMe Community is mostly made of GoFundMe organizers looking to make a difference. It’s a place to connect with others, share tips, advice, and emotional support on the fundraising journey. Because all our members are trying to raise money for their own fundraisers, we ask that you avoid making posts asking for donations or fundraiser shares.

Here’s some tips on getting the most out of the Community:

  1. Create a connection with other organizers:  The members in this community are fundraisers just like you, and we’re all in this together. Root someone on by liking their post, or comment on a challenge someone is facing to show your support.

  2. Swap best practices and fundraising wins: What worked wonders for your fundraiser? Whatever it is, share what you tried with the group by creating a discussion. Even if it's a small win, you never know what piece of advice could help another member with their effort.

  3. Build your reputation by answering questions and providing feedback: If you know a thing or two about fundraising, try answering some of the questions from our newer members by clicking, “Help others” underneath the Discussion Rooms. Each time you help someone, you will receive points that will raise your reputation score.

Please note: posts asking for donations or shares will be removed. Sharing your GoFundMe link is only allowed in your profile, or when asking for feedback about your fundraiser.

How to use the platform:

Email notifications and other settings

Want less (or more) email notifications? Want to add a profile picture? You can find all this and more in your settings.

Just click your profile picture in the top right corner, and navigate to “settings.”

Once you click that profile picture, you’ll also find lots of other stuff, like your profile where you can check out your recent badges earned as well as your activity on the Community forums. Just hit the “edit profile” button to change info on your profile page.

Finding the “Help others” feed

You might have come to the Community looking for advice about your own fundraiser, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help others with theirs while you’re here! Check out the “Help others” feed and jump in with support and advice. Let’s support each other on our fundraising journeys!

Super happy to be here everyone. I made my first 100 going toward my GoFundMe's account today. Super excited.

Hi all I'm new here just learned about the community a little nervous but blessings to all!!

Good Morning, I just wanted to let everyone know that I am here as a friend and friends are here to listen and help. Yes, I am going through a Traumatic experience and the last 3 years have been a rough rocky road. You see I the night of Mother’s Day 3yrs ago I lost my youngest son in what was called a Tragic accident. Although my Gut tells me another story, I cannot bring him back to this world. I fought day in and day out to hold it together and I pray to Farther “GOD” not to offend anyone on the site, I want you to know I respect You as a person and we all have the right to choices (At least I Hope we do). I walked with faith and asked My father GOD to keep me safe and to put Peace and Love into my heart. My story is no different than your story. We are all here for support and some form of Help. Support for a cause that gave us the courage to ask the Public for HELP! Staying focused on what is going to make me happy is how I get through my day. I really don’t know what this MOLD Monster is attempting to do to my health, but it doesn’t feel good. I have to say that I won’t be beat by this other silent killer. I will concentrate on my health and not worry about could or may happen. I am worrying about what I can do to get me back to what I was the Norm for Me. What the higher powers already have for me this Mold Monster will not take. I know that the people who are taking the time to read our request and who are capable of supporting anyone of US, weather being Monetary, Mentally, Verbally, or Physically, in the end it is still a form of giving. Remember we all must Give something every day, so as you begin your day make sure to keep your Mind and Health and free of negative garbage and remember to share kind words. There is definitely a light at the end, and although we don’t know what waits for each us, I know that My light is shining bright. My Son who is now my Yellow Butterfly is my Peace of Mind! And His spirit keeps me fighting and the Love he had for People was too Good for this Planet. I won’t give up and I will beat this BLACK MOLD NIGHTMARE.

In My Words, Love Rose:butterfly:

EVERYONE HAVE A PEACEFUL BLESSED DAY!

I’m so sorry for your loss. Stay strong sweetheart

For the longest I’ve been brainstorming thinking about ways that I could help out my brother and I’m glad I found this site filled with so many generous and kind hearted people.

God bless!

Thank you for this info

This was so helpful!! Thank you for the tips. I’m just scared to feel like I’m begging 💔

I understand. But you probably have come to the end of your rope trying to figure it all out another way but like myself you couldn't. There's no shame in asking for help. You are worth it.

Hello everyone, I am happy to be a part of the community. It was really rough to make a post as isolated as I keep myself. I am glad to know I am not alone. I want to be able to provide my kids for their condition and I am out of choices. Regardless if I get help or not, I am happy to be a part of something bigger.

I am new here and thank you for your advice!

All of us had troubles through covid but, many people do not realize that covet is still affecting many of our families and keeping me at home away from work.

Unfortunate that as it may be I am still able to put some food on the table!

Hello Everyone,

After reading some of the comments on how to raise funds, I have a couple of ideas. I’m raising money for a friend that’s homeless and has health issues. What we have done is to consistently post on Facebook and Twitter. We have more success by sending DM’s directly. Direct messages on Twitter has been successful. You can also download the Messenger App and send message directly. Wishing you all the best. Stay encouraged and never give up. 💕

This was so helpful!! Thank you for the tips. I’m just scared to feel like I’m begging 💔

Me too! So terrifying because all of our causes are important to each of us... Thank you for any help!

You’re welcome. Remember being prideful won’t help you. Humility is a beautiful thing. Here’s an old say, “Closed mouths don’t get fed.” Yes it hurts to be vulnerable and tell people what you’re going through, but it also frees you by letting it all out. Shout it out! I Need Help! Here’s what I’m going through.  Don’t be ashamed. There are a lot of good  people in this world and waiting to help you. Stay strong and never give up. 🙏🏽😘
