How do I use GoFundMe to get donations?

This is my very first time ever using GoFundMe and Im not sure exactly how would I go by getting donations from others. Like I don't want to seem like I'm asking random people to send me money, but I would like to know how can I get actual " help " in my situation.

I’ve donated to go fund me fund raisers before but I never used it for myself how do I get started on that?i don’t really have anyone to share my link with

@Lexus Simmons start by asking people you know first. Once you’ve made the rounds of your network, ask your network to share with people they know to see if they would spread the word to their network. That’s how word spreads!
