How do I get my GoFundMe “out there” for others to see. If I don’t have anyone to share it with?

I have to consider being in the same boat but I post to social media on feeds wether I have friends or family   as long as one has a profile to any specific media. I will select a bunch of friend suggestions in order to put the effort forth to be heard and seen as maybe my friends and family are not generous in anyway, so.

Also if you are able have a card made with your GoFundMe  acct info to hand to people who you come into contact to in your daily and some biz cards are inexpensive, or perhaps a website by either creating one and post in message boards or blogs to sites frequented by you. Could you take out a free ad in a publication through press? It’s a little less personal and  too I’m finding all types of judgement or negativity so opening yourself to that element can be hard.

But likewise in case anybody has further suggestions to not having contacts, nor any support, I’d love to hear them.

Crowdfunding is all about mobilizing your personal network. Most people know more people than they think, but if your network is small, then the first order of business would be to start meeting people.   You can do this by going to local meetup groups, a church, a club, or even get a job where you can meet other people in your community. It just depends on what you’re interested in, and who you would like to be friends with. Once you have some relationships, you can leverage those relationships to get things done for you and your community.

Hey there everyone!

I'm freshly new to GoFundMe and I'm wondering how I get it shown? This is my first time making a GoFundMe and this is a VERY important cause. My partner was diagnosed with Leukemia 4 months ago and it's been progressing aggressively. Which is putting him at the spectrum of needing a bone morrow transplant, chemotherapy, or so forth. Whichever is the most safe and less harmful bit helpful. He is needing a Specialist for these important stages. He's a VERY important person to me.

PLEASE, if anyone has ANY information on how I get it to being seen shoot a message my way please?? Or comment? Not really positive how this works yet.

Hey @Tyler Alley me again! I know you’re asking about sharing (which is very important), but I wanted to see if you would be interested in a fundraiser review? A huge part of fundraising is not only sharing your page with your personal network of friends, and asking your friends to share, but also creating an engaging fundraiser that gets people to donate once they visit your page. I’d love to take a look and see if there’s any tweaks you might find worth considering.

Oh yeah? Heck yeah Jules! Who's not willing to receive a little help ya know? That would curtainly be okay with me. I know when I was starting my first discussion GoFundMe mentioned they would prefer for us not to post our GoFundMe link. How should we go about this?

Ah, I can see how that could be confusing @Tyler Alley. For clarification, the main reason we ask people not to share their link is because people would like the community to be a place to find donors, but it’s actually filled with organizers who are also looking for donations. We’re trying to create a space for people to exchange ideas and give each other feedback, but it’s hard when people are also looking for donors simultaneously. I hope that makes sense - it’s totally okay to share your link if you’re looking for advice!
