I'm looking for any advice. I'm struggling to keep myself afloat and absolutely hate asking for help. I'm not wanting to really share on my Facebook or IG because I don't want family or friends in my business. I tried to be as succinct on my GFM but I'm worried that because it's not a dire situation (read: dire to me, not to the public), I'm less likely to get any support. https://gofund.me/07a4a789 What have you all used to gather support from folks outside your network?
I'm single dad of 2 little girls. They lost their mom to drugs and prostitution. I have life long injuries on my arms and in recovering from a second surgery on my elbow and looking into a third surgery. My mom and stepdad are getting a divorce Bec my step dad is tired of having us in his house. I now have my car up for sale so I can use the funds for rent and food somewhere. How do I get my message out. I have no friends no family. My mom is my only family and she has no money because she has been a stay-at-home wife her entire life. How do I get this message out?
I’m not sure what to do any more. I have been sharing the go fund me I set up for my brother who has a massive stroke and is about to lose everything he’s ever worked for but nothing seems to help. I have shared it with all my social media’s, everyone I know and I’m trying to get it out there to people I don’t know. I’m just at a loss.😢 I’m afraid that he will lose his battle with depression if he loses everything. What do I do?
I've exhausted my friends and social media resources by raising $1100 but where do I go from here? My goal is $5k. How do I get more community donors? I'm also wondering if my story is sufficient for community donors or if changes are needed? It's taken me a long time to get this far, any advice is welcome. I'll include my GFM link for comments on my story/updates. https://gofund.me/51331e31 Thanks! Dawn
I’m pretty new to this type of social media. Yes I have had Facebook and recently started Instagram and Twitter because of this. My wife has breast cancer and is getting ready to start at least a year’s long treatment and I’m a disabled Veteran. Both of our social circles online are pretty small so I have shared to each of the main platforms on my pages and tagged her in them, so my question is how do I get it out there for more people to see? or for them to share for even more to see?
Hello I am currently having a hard time sharing on platforms. I am not a huge avid user of social media it's hard to share links if your aren't a trusted user on many public platforms. That's unfortunate because it doesn't serve its purpose then. I thought it was meant to help others share ideas. For example reddit they don't allow you to post about your cause because it is a requirement to earn enough points and be active for 30 days which I though I was after using it for years. Any ideas anyone?
Hi everybody, my team and I at my school for a senior project are engineering our own car. We are designing and building from scratch and so far have got $900 from other methods outside of the GoFundMe. I was wondering if anyone could help us out on where to reach out to donors? Thank you! :)

I have no idea what I'm doing. My spouse signed up to donate his kidney in 2018. Unfortunately we assumed it would be pretty quickly accomplished. We didn't get 1st call till 2020. Pandemic hit. Surgery cancelled. Again in 2021 he got called. We have 5 kids and myself and some of our kids have chronic illness. So it's really costly to drag our family back and forth. I'm so embarrassed trying to get help. But the lady won't make it if we don't do this bc we no longer have the savings to get there. My family is distant and won't have anything to do with it. We have no real friends. Wondering if anyone could direct me on how to share this. I've shared on Twitter but no real connections there. I need to know what other places and ways to share something like this. I've seen people share things like for cancer patients or the actual people who have the kidney transplant and need medical funds but there's nothing out there really for the donors and most people think we shouldn't be doing thi
Hello, my husband and I decided to start a fundraiser to support our higher education efforts. We have been together for 17 years and worked together for 17 years. When I tell people this the often response is “oh I couldn’t do that”. I understand when folks say this but it has always come easy for me as I am an identical twin. We have now decided to go back to school to purse a career in Racial Equity for BIPOC individuals, especially in states like Vermont where we are living. We have applied for Financial Aid but it seems we do not qualify for much. I am writing to ask for any advice on raising money for education. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks, Michael K.
I need help sharing without social media as my teen age daughters are part of social media and I don’t want to embarrass them as I’m embarrassed myself but I really need these dental implants as I’m only 34 and my smile is compromised. I have tried every thing emails, text messages, community boards I don’t know what else to do
Hello, I’m trying to get my fundraiser noticed. My mother was in terrible head on collision with an intoxicated driver. Her life has changed so much because of it. She had suffered from broken ribs, a broken jaw, fractured ankle, and collapsed lung. It’s a miracle that she is still alive, but because of the accident she lost everything including her home. It would be such a blessing for her to be able to just put a roof back over her head how can I get my fundraiser noticed
I need help I post on Instagram and Facebook sometimes but I only had 1 donor that way . Maybe people funds are tight right now I understand. Do anyone have suggestions. I’m a domestic violence victim. I am now a survivor 😊. I just want to raise money to start my non profit for resources . Recently wrote a book called “Breaking Cycles-a story of breaking cycles of abuse .
I want to share my go fund me because I want to be able to pay my rent and bills and give my daughter a Christmas but at the same time there are friends and some family that I will be embarrassed for them to know. Is there other options to get my campaign noticed? I'm a 10 year Air Force veteran and not sure if I should put that in there because I don't want to come off as sounding like I feel entitled to anything because I served because it's actually quite the opposite. I've never been one to ask for help so any advice on how to swallow my pride would be appreciated. Blessings and happy holidays to all. https://gofund.me/bdad1e06
